What is the size of the holes in the tray.

I'm wondering if the leftover plugs would be small enough to just insert in holes that need to be plugged and can be used with new plug to fill in the excess space

The plug saver tray produces plugs that are approximately 5/8" wide by 3/4" tall. They look just like the old "Dots" chewy candies. We use them in our own pro shop whenever filling large holes. We will put as many in the hole as we can fit and them fill new liquid plug material into the hole. Once it hardens, you can but it down and finish as normal. The tray is a great way to use leftover plugging material.
